Welcome to Havelock Park, home of Banbridge Hockey Club. Whether you're a visiting supporter, a first-time fan, or one of our regulars, we're delighted to have you with us for today's EY Hockey League fixture. We hope you enjoy the match and the atmosphere — and if you're feeling chilly, the Coffee Dock by the pitch is open for hot drinks, while the club kitchen and bar are serving up refreshments throughout the day.
Banbridge Hockey Club has a proud and storied history, dating back to 1897, and remains one of the most decorated clubs in Irish hockey. In recent seasons, the men's side has consistently challenged at the top of the EYHL, including a Champions Trophy three-peat and regular appearances in Irish Senior Cup finals. The club has also represented Ireland in European competition, showcasing the
strength and depth of talent developed here in Banbridge.
Today’s match is another chapter in that legacy, and we’re thrilled to share it with you. Thank you for supporting club hockey — and enjoy the game.

At Banbridge Hockey Club, we believe that respect is the foundation of everything we do — on and off the pitch. Whether you're a player, coach, supporter, or visitor, your behaviour shapes the atmosphere of our club and the experience of everyone involved.
Umpires are essential. Without them, there is no game. They give their time, energy, and focus to ensure fair play, and they deserve our full support. Disrespect, dissent, or abuse — even in frustration — undermines the spirit of hockey and the values we stand for.
We ask every member of our community to uphold the principles of RESPECT: Realise umpires are human, Encourage fair play, Support officials, and Thank them for their role. Coaches, captains, and parents — your example matters. Let’s show that Banbridge leads by example.
Together, we can create a positive, welcoming environment where hockey thrives. No umpires, no game. Respect the officials. Respect the game.

The way we enjoy hockey is changing — and it’s never been more exciting. With Hockey Ireland TV, fans can now follow the action from across the domestic league, live and in full colour, from wherever they are.
Whether you're cheering on Banbridge from the clubhouse, the sofa, or halfway across the country, you won’t miss a moment. Over 120 live games are available this season, bringing our sport to screens and raising its profile like never before.
Support the game. Support the players. Tune in and be part of the future of Irish hockey.

Round Up
It has been an action-packed period for the Mens’ 1st XI as they juggle domestic cup glory with a high-stakes title race in the EYHL. Here is a summary of the recent action from the pitch.
Kirk Cup Champions!
Banbridge 3 – 1 Queens’ University The 2026 Kirk Cup returned to Havelock Park following a commanding performance against Queens. Despite rotating the squad to include six schoolboys, Bann showed incredible depth. Edward Rowe was the star of the show, netting two goals—one a sublime reverse hit and the other following a slick link-up with Shaun Ward and Max Murphy. Murphy added a third at the back post, and despite a late Queens consolation, Tommy Dobson proudly hoisted the trophy at the final whistle.
EYHL Title Race: The Southern Double-Header
Dublin YMCA 2 – 3 Banbridge Bann showed great resilience to navigate a "double-header" weekend, starting with a gritty win at Wesley College. In fierce winds, goals from Louis Rowe, Matthew McKee, and a decisive late winner from Jake Rowe secured three vital points. Goalkeeper Luke Roleston played a pivotal role, keeping Bann in it with a crucial penalty stroke save in the first half.
Cork Church of Ireland 0 – 4 Banbridge The momentum stayed with the visitors in Cork. After a scoreless first half, the Rowe brothers took control; Louis Rowe bagged a brace of penalty corners, while Jake Rowe scored the goal of the weekend—a spectacular solo effort launched into the roof of the net. Peter Brown also found the mark from the penalty spot to complete the rout.
League Form & Recent Results
Monkstown 2 – 2 Banbridge (Monkstown won shootout 3–0) It was a frustrating trip to Dublin earlier in the month. Goals from Louis Rowe and Johnny McKee put Bann in a commanding 2-0 lead, but missed opportunities proved costly. Monkstown clawed back to level the game at the death, and a clinical shootout performance saw the hosts take the bonus point.
Banbridge 4 – 1 Corinthians Bann bounced back immediately with a comfortable home win. Johnny McKee, Edward Rowe, and Owen McElhinney all found the net before half-time, with Adam McKee adding a fourth in the second half. It was a professional display that kept the pressure on at the top of the table.
Cookstown 3 – 7 Banbridge Under the floodlights on Wednesday 15th April, Banbridge took a massive step toward the title with a high-scoring victory at Camlin Park. Louis Rowe was the standout performer, completing a brilliant hat-trick. He was joined on the scoresheet by Adam McKee, Matthew McKee, Lukas Moles, and Owen McElhinney.
The Run-In: With the Kirk Cup already in the trophy cabinet, the focus now shifts entirely to the EYHL. Banbridge enter the final league game with a clear objective: a win to secure the EY All Ireland League title.
