Ulster carpets sponsor BHC Men’s 1st XI

Banbridge Hockey Club have announced a new sponsorship deal with Ulster Carpets with the Portadown based and globally recognised company set to support the Club for the next 3 years.  The new sponsorship deal was officially launched at a reception at the club on Saturday during the club’s Gala Day.  Locally elected representatives and invited guests joined the Armagh Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council Lord Mayor, Glenn Barr, as the Club announced this new partnership.

Welcoming the sponsorship, BHC President Mark Evans stated; “We are delighted that Ulster Carpets have signed up to sponsor our Club for the next 3 seasons.  We look forward to working with the company and thank them for the support.  Our sponsors are an integral part of the club and their commitment helps us to continue to provide top class facilities, coaching, kit and equipment for our members.  The Ulster Carpets brand is synonymous with quality and we see that as a perfect fit for our Club with the status, history and the quality of our hockey product on offer at all levels at Havelock Park.”

The Ulster Carpets logo will feature on the Men’s 1st XI kit supplied by local sports retailer Donaghys which was featured for the first time when the team lined out against Pembroke Wanderers at Havelock Park on Saturday.

Nick Coburn, Group Managing Director of Ulster Carpets said; “It is great to be sponsoring Banbridge Hockey Club and have our brand represented by one of the top hockey clubs on the island of Ireland.  Like Ulster Carpets, the Club has a long history steeped in success and we are looking forward to seeing that continuing in the seasons ahead.  There has never been a more important time to be involved in sports, inspiring people to become more active to help with physical and mental health and we are pleased to be able to support this through this sponsorship deal.”

The hockey season for the Men’s 1st XI officially starts this week when the opening match of the EYHL will see the team face Monkstown at Rathdown School at 2.30pm.
