Video highlights for Bann to be produced by SRC
Banbridge Hockey Club President, Jo-Anne Lyttle commented; “We are delighted to be launching this new partnership with SRC. By working together, we can produce joint outcomes of raising the profile of our club as well as helping local students achieve sports filming experience outside of the classroom.”
“SRC and Banbridge Hockey Club are aiming to produce video clips which will be included in our new electronic EY Hockey League match day programme and short video clips will also be released on a weekly basis through the Club’s social media sites. This will allow us to have a greater online presence and will also result in increased exposure for our team sponsors. It is hoped that this new ground breaking venture within Irish hockey will increase, not only the profile of the entire Club and Irish hockey, but will also showcase the talents of the students and assist them in achieving their academic goals.”
SRC lecturer Gary Davidson added; “This is a fantastic opportunity for the College to be partnering with Banbridge Hockey Club and we plan to include this experience as part of our media students’ course-work this year. Our students will be in attendance at the home games and during training sessions at the Club during the week to capture material. The clips will include match and training footage and interviews with both players and the management teams. Various camera positions will be trialled to enhance the viewing experience and provide an on-going project based learning opportunity for the students. This is a great opportunity for our students and we are looking forward to getting started and producing material which will also benefit Banbridge Hockey Club.”
