Senior International at Havelock – Tues 24
Banbridge Hockey Club will this week host a test match between Ireland Senior Women and Scotland on Tuesday 24th October at 7:00pm at Havelock Park.
This is the second game in the 3 match series which saw the sides draw 1-1 at the weekend. The final test will take place at Stormont on Wednesday.
BHC President Roger Martin stated; “We are delighted to be hosting a senior intentional at Banbridge Hockey Club. It is a fantastic opportunity for the club, local schools and town to have international hockey being played here at Havelock Park. We are working hard to replace the pitch at Havelock and we hope that when this project is completed the club will become a regular host for senior international games which would be a huge boost for the local area.”
The games come on the back of news that the Irish women’s squad have qualified for next years hockey World Cup.
Due to the senior international, car parking availability at Havelock Park will be affected from approx. 5.30pm – 8.30pm. BHC car park attendants will be on hand to manage the car parking provision. Overflow parking will be available at Banbridge Academy during these hours. This overflow facility will close at 9pm
