SENIOR AWARDS PRESENTED
Banbridge Hockey Club Senior Club officially closed the season this weekend with the Club’s Annual Awards Night and BBQ. Guests, members and friends turned out in force to hear who had won the awards in each of the categories.
Club President Roger Martin paid tribute to all the players and coaches and thanked everyone for all their efforts during the season. Roger highlighted that it had been a fantastic season for the club starting with Eugene Magee being selected to represent Ireland at the Rio Olympics, the Club hosting the EHL Round 1 in October, the Ladies 1st XI playing in the Ulster Premier League for the first time and the Men’s 1stXI qualifying for the K016 in Eindhoven and winning the EY Hockey League and the Irish Senior Cup.
Thanks to Jo-Anne Lyttle and the Fundraising Sub-Committee for organizing the night and to chefs Rory Madeley and Norman Sally for the BBQ.
