RED or BLACK

Banbridge Hockey Club present ‘Red or Black’, a fun interactive game with the chance to win big. During a number of games played out on the night, participants have just one decision to make – Red or Black?

The Club’s version of ‘Red or Black’ has been devised from the gameshow of the same name which was developed by Simon Cowell and presented by Ant and Dec in 2011 and 2012. At the time it was the most expensive game show in history, costing in the region of £15m.  Four contestants did win £1million during the first series of the show – but that won’t be repeated in the club!

In each round, participants will choose either red or black, the possible outcomes of a series of games played on the night. Choose the incorrect colour and you will be eliminated from the game.  Each participant will be allowed to buy-back-into the game up to a maximum of two times until there are only ¼ of the participants left in the game.  At this point the opportunity to buy-back-in closes.

The final two participants left in the game will then go head to head in ‘Duel’ to determine the winner. And the fun won’t stop there!  The winner will then have the opportunity to win big by choosing Red or Black and spinning the giant wheel to see if the wheel stops on their choice.

All of the games which will take place on the night will be played by participants, some randomly selected on the night. These players will decide your fate!

Amongst the games which will form part of the game on the night are:

Heads or Tails – The flick of a coin will determine whether participants who have chosen Heads (Red) or Tails (Black) stay in the game.

Cut – A deck of cards is randomly cut by one of the participants to revel a Red or a Black card. Chose right and stay in the game.

Stacker – two players (one red and one black) go head to head to see who can build the biggest tower of £1 coins. Every 10 seconds the players will be given a coin to add to their tower. Keep your tower upright longer than your opponent and keep those who have chosen your colour in the game.

Pursuit – two players (one red and one black) will go head to head around the pitch over six laps to see who can cover the most ground. Cover more distance than your opponent and keep those who have chosen your colour in the game.

Stuffed – two players (one red and one black) go head to head to see who can put the most marshmallows into their mouth. Every 10 seconds the players will be given another marshmallow.   Fit more in your mouth than your opponent and keep those who have chosen your colour in the game.

Arrow – two players (one red and one black) go head to head to see who can achieve the highest score from six darts at a dart board. Score more than your opponent and keep those who have chosen your colour in the game.

The Machine – two players (one red and one black) go head to head to see who can flick a hockey ball into a washing machine from a distance of 20m. Six attempts to score more than your opponent and keep those who have chosen your colour in the game.

Countdown – two players (one red and one black) go head to head to see who can make the longest word out of 9 randomly drawn letters. Come up with a word longer than your opponent and keep those who have chosen your colour in the game.  The game keeps being repeated until we have a winner.

Flick – two players (one red and one black) go head to head to see who can score the most penalty run-ins. Five attempts to score more than your opponent and keep those who have chosen your colour in the game.

A number of other games will be played on the night.

The fun takes place in the Clubhouse at Havelock Park on Saturday 19 November 2016 with the game starting at 8pm. Entry to the game will cost £10 payable on the evening.  Come along and bring your friends.
