Message from the President

Friday 29th April

To all members of Banbridge Hockey Club

This weekend sees the culmination of many hours of planning, meetings,
hard work, and soul searching for everyone involved in our delivery of the
Champions Trophy Finals and Playoffs Weekend at Banbridge Hockey Club. I
would just like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank everyone
involved so far and those who will be involved this weekend – we simply
could not do this without your help.  There has been a great volunteer
response from within the club and it is a testament to everyone’s
willingness to help that will hopefully make this weekend a resounding
success.

This is the second time we have hosted the finals weekend in recent years
and once again we have transformed our grounds from our club venue to that
of an international quality complex.  Thank you to everyone who has got us
to this point.

I look forward to welcoming you all to the games over the weekend and who
knows we may be cheering on a Bann team in the men’s final on Sunday.
Regardless of the results we want to welcome everyone to our Club and
ensure that Irish hockey is the real winner over the weekend. With this in
mind I would ask all our supporters to be mindful of our own Club Code of
Conduct which adopts the Ulster Hockey Code of Conduct and Irish Hockey
Code of Ethics (can be found on the club website) but, at the same time,
let’s make our voices heard in the right way when cheering on our boys!

Thanks again and lets make our vision a reality by topping the brilliant
event we put on in 2014 and making this weekend the best finals so far.
Enjoy the tournament, enjoy the weekend at the club and the best of luck
to our Men’s 1st XI, we are all behind you!
