Banbridge Hockey Club is delighted that a number of club members have been recently selected for Ireland and Ulster at the various levels.

Eugene Magee, Drew Carlisle and Stephen Dowds are currently in Germany playing for the Irish Senior Men’s squad as part of the preparations for the World League 3 Tournament which will take place in Belgium in late June/early July.  Further fixtures have also been scheduled against France for 23-24 May.  In addition to Eugene, Drew and Stevie, Matthew Bell, Peter Brown, Owen Magee and Bruce McCandless have all been named for the Senior Men’s enlarged training squad for the remainder of 2015.  To have seven representatives in this squad is a fantastic achievement for the players and the club.

At Irish Under 18 Level, Kyle Marshall has been selected for the upcoming U18 Boys European Championship in Santander from 19-25 July while Timmy Watt is named as a non-travelling reserve for this tournament.  Kyle has been a regular member of the 1st XI squad at Banbridge and was recently awarded the Club Young Player of the Year.

At an Ulster level Peter Bingham, William Malcomson, Mark Campbell and Adam Marshall were part of the Ulster Junior Interpro squad which played at the Interprovincial Tournament in Cork.  While on the ladies side of the club D’Arcey Campbell, Nadia Benallal, Lauren McGaw and Ellen Reid have all been selected for the Ulster U16 development squad for the 2015-16 season.
