The hockey season has now started which means that membership subscriptions are now due. Membership packs have been handed out or posted to senior club members.

Last season, Banbridge Hockey Club saw much success across all sections of the club, culminating in our Men’s 1st XI winning the European Champion Challenge 1 tournament. Another of the highlights for the club was the hosting the IHL finals weekend, which saw Havelock transformed into a top class venue and was upheld by many as the best hockey event put on in Ireland in recent times. The challenge now for us all is to continue to improve as a club both on and off the pitch during this season.
As a thank you to all of our loyal members and to encourage others to become part of this exciting club, the Executive Committee have added a number of incentives for members this season as follows:
- All members will receive £2 discount on gate entry to all Men’s 1st XI games on production on a valid membership card (excludes concessions);
- All full members (excludes associate, overseas, school & junior members) of the club will receive their first 10 drinks at the club bar for £2 (for a single drink of choice) using a drinks discount card which will be issued when membership is paid;
- All members will receive 10% discount off Sports Footwear, Clothing & Equipment (excluding BHC Teamwear & Promotional Items) in Shoefair Sports on production of a valid membership card.
- Exclusive offers are available to members at David Prentice, Portadown on production of a valid membership card.
Member incentives are a focus area for the Executive Committee going forward and we will continue to assess this on an ongoing basis with the potential to add more exclusive offers for club members. We hope to talk to our various sponsors also and allow them the opportunity to offer special offers to our members on an ongoing basis. The Executive Committee works hard to minimise membership fees and obtain external funding to ensure that we continue to provide the best possible facilities, kit, coaching and support for all. However, we do need to raise additional funds to maintain these high standards and would ask that all our members participate in as many of the planned events and fundraising activities as possible.
Members are also reminded of BHC Rules, club policies and the IHA Code of Ethics which are available in the downloads sections of our club website. All members should make themselves aware of the content of these and adhere to them at all times. If you have any queries on any aspect of the club, please contact any member of the Executive Committee or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
