Bann will play in Czech Republic

Banbridge will play their European tournament in the Czech Republic next June.

The European Hockey Federation (EHF) today announced the locations for the various European competitions and despite Bann submitting a bid to host the Men’s Club Champions Challenge I tournament, the EHF has decided that Rakovnik in the Czech Republic will be the venue.  The tournament will take place from 6th – 9th June 2014.

Banbridge have been drawn in a group with SK Slavia Praha from the Czech Republic, Gibralter’s Grammarians Hockey Club and HAHK Mladost from Croatia.  The other group features teams from Switzerland, Belarus, Czech Republic and Azerbijan.

Monkstown, Ireland’s other club representative in Europe, will be playing in the Men’s Club Champions Trophy in Italy the same weekend.
