JUNIOR HOCKEY REGISTRATION

Banbridge Hockey Club Junior and Youth Sections will hold two registration events next week at Havelock Park.

All boys and girls interested in playing hockey this season who have not attended before, from primary 1 up to under 15 level should come along with their parents to Havelock Park on Friday 30th August from 7.00-8.00pm to ensure they register for the appropriate coaching section, complete the necessary paperwork, pay fees and guarantee coaching places for this season.

All existing junior and youth members should re-register at the Hockey Club on Saturday 31st August between 3.00pm – 6.00pm.

Parents should also note that the junior girls training times have changed this season.  All primary school girls will now train on Saturday mornings at the Hockey Club, from 8.45am – 9.45am.

BHC Junior Hockey Co-Ordinator Julie Sally stated;  “Banbridge Hockey Club can provide excellent coaching and facilities for boys and girls playing hockey from primary 1 upwards.  This season we are asking parents to come along to the relevant registration events where each parent will receive an information pack outlining the dates and times of training sessions and find out more about the club. ”

The boys and girls will again train separately in Primary School, under 13 and 15 groups with matches and tournaments organised throughout the season.  Once players reach 15 years old they become eligible to play for their respective men’s and ladies section with weekly training and matches available in variety of cup & league competitions.

Julie added; “Banbridge Hockey Club has achieved Clubmark NI accreditation.  This means that BHC Junior Club will meet minimum standards in the areas of effective management, quality Coaching and competition safety in sport”
