Magee most capped player for Ireland
Congratulations to former Banbridge Hockey Club player Eugene Magee on achieving his 164th cap for Ireland today and becoming the men’s highest Irish caps holder. Eugene has scored 38 goals in his 164 appearances for the Ireland and made his debut for the Senior Team against Belgium in Dublin in 2005.
Eugene captained the Irish side which today beat Fiji 13-0 in the World League 2 tournament in India and scored one of the goals. On this proud day for BHC, Peter Brown got his first international goal at this level.
