Pre-Season training starts for BHC Ladies

Following last seasons success, Banbridge Hockey Club Ladies are looking forward to the 2012/13 season with confidence. To prepare for the season ahead, the Ladies will start pre-season training on Monday 6th August 2012 at 7.00 pm at Havelock Park.

Head Coach Simon Jess stated: “The Ladies had an excellent 2011/12 season with all three senior teams achieving promotion in their respective leagues and our 1st XI winning the Intermediate Cup. We plan to further this success as we go forward into the new season. All senior players are encouraged to attend pre-season training and new members of all abilities will also be very welcome.”

BHC Ladies 1st XI will play this season in Senior 2, the 2nd XI in Junior 3 and the 3rd XI in Junior 7. Head Coach Simon Jess will again be assisted by Robin Madeley and Dane Ward with Aaron Appleton working with the goalkeepers

Simon added: “The Ladies aim to field four senior teams this year and are looking forward to seeing last seasons’ under-15s who also had considerable success, progress into the senior club. All girls aged 15 and over should come along to Havelock on Monday and Wednesday nights. A number of pre-season friendlies will be organised over the coming weeks and it is important that all our players attend training sessions to ensure the best possible preparation for the season ahead.”

Pre-season training will continue during August every Monday and Wednesday from 7.00-8.30pm at Havelock with Saturday sessions also to be scheduled. Junior sessions will start from September. Keep up to date on training and club activities at www.banbridgehockeyclub.com and on Facebook and Twitter.
