Jonny McKee in European action for Irish U-16 Boys

Local youngster Jonny McKee has been selected to represent Ireland at under-16 level in the EuroHockey Youth Championships in Vienna, Austria later this week.   The Banbridge Academy student, who is very highly rated, will be playing in the Under-16 team for the third year in a row.  He is joined in the team by Luke Madeley, son of club member Robin, who will also captain the team.

We wish Jonny, Luke and the rest of the team all the best for the tournament.

The Irish team play the following group matches before a classification match on Sunday 8th July:

Thursday July 5th 11.00 Ireland v Belgium
Friday July 6th 11.00 Ireland v Belarus
Saturday July 7th 13.00 Ireland v Spain
